I'm looking for a logic analyzer to serve the following needs:

  • New development
    • 8 channels
    • Able to sample 100MHz signals
    • Compatible with 5v, 3.3v, 1.8v, and 1.2v signal levels
    • Decoders for SPI, I2C, CAN
      • Nice to have: decoders for DMX512, USB
  • Retro equipment troubleshooting/reversing (and ECLair development)
    • 32+ channels
    • Able to sample 25MHz signals
    • Compatible with 5v and ECL (-0.8/-1.6) levels
    • Nice to have: ability to write custom decoders

Overall requirements:

  • < $1000
  • Either PC-hosted or remotely accessible from a PC
